The latest Trail running option from Vibram Fivefingers designed for the great outdoors and tough terrains.
As an evolution model of the fantastic V-Trail a Barefoot Junkie favourite, The sole structure of the New V-Trail 2.0 still has all of the great tried and tested features of the original V-Trail sole. The Vibram 3D Cocoon weave mesh technology, This tri-dimensional nylon membrane woven and moulded into the outsole and dissipates rock impacts across the sole of the shoe. Sole flex, movement and feedback is not compromised and even enhanced from the extremely flexible FLEX RIDGE from the toes to the ball of the foot. The outer sole has a 3.7mm Vibram Megagrip compound which offers great durability whilst not compromising on great grip in both wet and dry conditions. The multidirectional lug design of the outer sole is designed to to give great through a range of foot movements. The inside is a 2mm EVA insole and polyester sock liner.
The upper of the V-Trail 2.0 is polyester with extra resistant polyester fabric sections for a secure fit. Extra lamination around the toe sections. The fastening is a Speed Lace fast lacing system. The new upper material of the V-Trail 2.0 is now more water repellent than the previous version.
The Vibram Fivefingers V-Trail 2.0 is perfect for outdoor pursuits, running on trails and during obstacle races. The Vibram Fivefingers models designed for moving on unpredictable surfaces in the great outdoors.

Excellent Grip on wet and dry surfaces, whilst providing rugged durability. features 3D Cocoon mesh woven into the outsole for protection from sharper objects during outdoor training like rocks, roots and acorns. The mesh is tridimensional, it disperses the point of impact across the full bottom of the shoe. Continues to offer excellent proprioception and dexterity. The Megagrip outsole compound offers supreme grip across both wet and dry conditions.

They’re a nice idea but the quality isn’t great.
Quite stiff - having to wear them in! Previous pairs i have been able to just chuck on and wear all day without issue. I've been wearing vibrams for over 15 years, so definitely a shoe issue, not me not being used to them.
I love these. They do exactly as advertised: allow me to run on stony trails without fear of getting stabbed in the foot by sharp stones. The ground feel is decent and protective, though of course not as close as that of the minimalist soles. The shoe itself is pretty sturdy for a barefoot shoe, so it is a bit more like wearing a trainer on the upper, but with toes and foot freedom. They’re definitely not the most minimalist of the Vibram five-fingers! The sole is super grippy, even on sand and going downhill on loose rocks. However, these definitely require socks to wear. They were fine walking around the house without socks, but I had blisters on my heels within 10 minutes of my first run without socks. I think it’s because the shoe heel curves up to snugly cup your heels. This means the shoes are very stable on the foot with no risk of sliding off or around on uneven ground. But the downside of that is that, with even the slightest sweat, the friction on bare skin causes problems. Anyway, I ordered a set of Vibram ultrathin socks, which have a lovely cushiony bit on the heel right where the shoe touches. With the socks they felt great and my trail run today was very satisfying! Anyway, I’m very happy and will likely take these up a hill in the near future. They’re definitely the most rugged set of five-fingers I’ve tried and they’re crying out for a scramble in rocky terrain. See you in the hills!
I got a size 8 womens as I have a half size foot difference usually a 7 so one foot fits lovely but the other really uncomfy in-between my big toe and the little toe the seam was digging in, tried them a few times around house but had to take them off. 😔 Good quality though and I do like them but think my foot size is an issue🤔

Not used yet but fit well despite confusing sizes.
Difficult to put on and expensive but I love them They feel natural and for the first time I can remember, my toes are flat and separated instead of rounded and squashed together.
Can't believe how good the grip is with the Trail shoes! Doesn't look much but in conjunction with your feet being in touch with the ground, I can now run on slippery surfaces loads faster than with normal trainers. I have completed, and won, several cross country races in them now, and would never go back to spikes or other types of off road shoe. Your feet can spread and enjoy the ground!
